Assume vs Presume
Assume   = to take for granted without evidence
Presume = to take for granted, usually because evidence 
                  exists
Assure vs Ensure vs Insure
Assure  = to make confident or promise something
Ensure = to make certain something will happen 
Insure  = to buy insurance 

Award vs Reward 
Award   = something given as a prize
Reward = something given for a good deed or service 

Canvas vs Canvass
Canvas   = the cloth used in tents or sails, or what painters 
                 use
Canvass = is getting political support from voters 

Cheap vs Inexpensive
Cheap          = describe something that has a low price and 
                       is of low quality
Inexpensive = low cost 

Heroin vs Heroine
Heroin   = A Drug 
Heroine = the principal female character in a novel, poem, 
                or drama. it can also refer to a woman noted for 
                courage, daring action or special achievement...

Personal vs Personnel
Personal   = private
Personnel = a group of people, usually all of whom are part 
                   of the same organization

Principal vs Principle
Principal = as an adjective, means foremost
                 as a noun , it is the head of school or amount of   
                 money borrowed
Principle = a noun that refers to law or personal conviction

Unaware vs Unawares
Unaware = an adjective that means not being aware of 
                  something
Unawares = an adverb meaning by surprise or unexpectedly 

Quiet vs Quite
Quiet = silence
Quite = really or close
